To Mask or Not? What does Hashem say about it ???
To Mask or Not? What does Hashem say about it ???
In this past week's parsha we learn about the Erev Rav taking advantage of the absence of a REAL Jewish leader Moshe Rabbeinu, and creating a false idol the Golden Calf, seizing leadership and convincing the Jews to worship it. They EVEN got Aaron the Kohen Gadol to endorse the project. Mind you this was after the Jews witnessed the 10 plagues, saw the splitting of the Reeds Sea, and Heard God speak to them in the 1st comment.
If they can be FOOLED into worshiping a false idol, do you think people today can't?
Let's continue reading what it says in the Parsha.
“You shall not make molten gods for yourself”. אֱלֹהֵ֥י מַסֵּכָ֖ה לֹ֥א תַֽעֲשֶׂה־לָּֽךְ:
Masecha מַסֵּכָ֖ה also means MASK.
So... in other words:
“You shall not make false gods out of MASKS for yourself.”
Now wait a minute! isn't it a Mitzva to wear a Mask??
Let's use our brains and think like Abraham the first Jews did.
WHY do you wear a mask?
Most people say because God errr Gov. tells them to.
Ok... WHY do they say you should wear one??
God errr Gov. says to protect you from getting a vi-rus from someone and be healthy.
Ahhh... A few more questions.
Is there any evidence that a mask can prevent one from transmitting a vi-rus?
If so why don’t we wear one every winter to prevent thousands of flu deaths??
Well how big is a vi-rus? how big are the holes in a mask??
Smoke can get through the mask easily, try it, viruses are even smaller than smoke.
So... is there any evidence that a mask can stop a vi-rus???
The answer is NO. I defy you to prove otherwize. See real scientific studies on it:
https://www.greenmedinfo.com/blog/masks-dont-work-review-science-relevant-covid-19-social-policy-0
Is there any evidence that there is even a vi-rus making people sick????
Well... an italian study showed NO Cor-ona vi-rus in the people who "allegedly" died from co-vid after doing autopsies on them.
https://thelogicalindian.com/fact-check/italy-covid-19-coronavirus-bacteria-aspirin-21655
Derek Knauss, a PhD in virology and immunology and a clinical lab scientist tested 1500 “supposed” positive Covid 19 samples collected in S. California. His lab team and he did the testing through Koch’s postulates and observation under a SEM (scanning electron microscope), they found NO Co-rona virus in any of the 1500 samples!
The Irish Gov admitted in writing they have NO evidence of a coronavirus making anyone sick. https://principia-scientific.com/irish-government-admits-covid-19-does-not-exist
Is there evidence that wearing a mask for extended periods of time prevents one from getting the necessary oxygen to the body? Yup! lot's of studies on that see: OSHA discusses how it violates Oxygen Levels and MANY more reports here: https://questioningcovid.com
While we are asking questions how do they even claim to know people got sick from a co-rona virus?
Well the Gov LOVES using the PCR test.
Is there any evidence that this test is accurate??
Actually the inventor Carry Mullis said you can NOT use the PCR to identify viruses.
Hmmmm... Does the Gov run by bureaucrats know more than the inventor of the PCR process??
Apparently the PCR test was legally ruled useless by a court to test for Covid!
So let’s recap:
- There is NO evidence of a co-rona virus killing anyone.
- There is NO evidence of a co-rona virus in people that were recently sick.
- There is NO evidence that wearing a mask will stop viruses which they didn’t even find.
- There is plenty of evidence that masks harm your health, by lowering the oxygen levels, which causes cancer cells to grow, creates brain damage, plus breathing in your CO2 acidifies the body and lowers your immune system making you MORE likely to get sick.
So… we can conclude NO one is wearing a mask for their health.
Plus + it does the opposite and causes damage to the body, and the torah commands us:
“Ushmartem Meod Lenafshotreichem”, protect your body and health.
So... wearing a mask is a STRANGE thing to do, in hebrew that is (Zar זר)
Yet most Shuls will not let you pray with them (Avoda עבודה) without this STRANGE (Zar זר) Mask!
Well… that IS "Avoda Zarah!" (Idol Worship)
Wearing and Not letting people pray to Hashem (Avoda עבודה) without this STRANGE dangerous mask, is worshiping it, plus violates the commandment
“Ushmartem Meod Lenafshotreichem”, protect your body and health!
I guess Hashem knew what he was saying when he commanded us:
“You shall not make false gods out of a MASK for yourself”. אֱלֹהֵ֥י מַסֵּכָ֖ה לֹ֥א תַֽעֲשֶׂה־לָּֽךְ:
What do YOU worship???

Yosefs Hanachat Teffilin
Although we made two Bet Mitzvahs already, there's nothing like a Bar Mitzvah.
You have to look for teffilin, learn the Parsha, learn what it means to make the Minyan etc...
We went to the Kotel on Bet Adar Bet one month before Yosefs Bar Mitzvah.
Although I did not where a Talit at his age, many of his friends (lots of Sefardim) do where a talit at Bar Mitzvah. Yosef wanted to where one as well. We asked our Rav Harav Bar Haim who whole hardheartedly endorsed it. He said there is not reason once one is Bar Mitzvah not to where a talit.
Even the Yekas do so.
The probable reason they stopped doing so was perhaps they were very expensive at one time.
So we selected a nice tallit, and put on techelet as well.
We picked up Shimmy and Doni from ND on the way, and Yosef and Adina Karash and Shira and Esti Walfish joined us at the Kotel

Butterfly Kisses for Shlomo Zakheim A"H
Whenever I saw Shlomo Zakheim A"H he always impressed me. He was always cool, calm and in control. He was calculated, listened closely to people and seemed to know how to get around obstacles. Like the original Shlomo Hamelech he skillfully was able to communicate with people of many from different backgrounds and with all ages. When I playing the music at his sons Bar Mitzvah, I noticed when we were almost done, he calmly picked up the mic spoke to the Bar Mitzvah boys friends on their level and explained to them the rest of the scheduled and when the bus will be coming. It was done with clarity, sincerity and love, like they were all his children.
Another nice memory was when I was discussing the music that my band Aish Orchestra was going to play at his daughters wedding, he gave me a song called Buttery Kisses by Bob Carlisle. He said he likes the song, there was only one issue he had with it. On the seventh bar of the song the lyrics are "She Prays to Jesus", so can I please cut that out somehow. At first I was a bit surprised. But, being the open minded person I claim to be, I listened to the song and realized it's an Amazing song. Since I was just getting into digital audio editing on computer, I imported the song and cut out that bar keeping everything else in perfect time.
When Shlomo heard it he was amazed. He couldn't even tell where the cut was if he didn't know the original.
What impressed me so much was Shlomo's true open mindedness. While many people may have heard those lyrics and immediately say that songs not kosher for them, Shlomo realized that it's a beautiful song it just needs to be modified a bit and it will be perfect. He didn't let a minor issue get in the way of a nice idea. he worked around it. I'm happy to be the one who modified it for him, so he can dance to it with his daughter at her wedding. I've used it many times since then for other father and brides dancing at their weddings, and renamed it . Butterfly Kisses (Kosher Version). This ones for Shlomo A"H.
